Hugh O’Sullivan grew up in Boulder. He graduated from Fairview High School and then attended a small liberal arts college in Philadelphia, where, in addition to his studies, he played basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. After graduating with a degree in English, and a minor in Economics, Hugh joined the Teamsters and spent several years working for UPS in Harrisburg, PA before enrolling in law school.
Following his graduation from the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. O’Sullivan spent more than a decade working as a senior associate at a defense litigation firm in St. Louis, where he defended personal injury and workers compensation claims on behalf of insurance companies and institutional clients, including hospitals, department stores, bus companies, and trucking companies. The experience he gained while defending insurance carriers and their clients gives Mr. O’Sullivan valuable insight and perspective while advocating for his injured clients at the Mintz Law Firm.
Several years ago, Hugh was able to return home to his beloved Colorado. Tired of defending faceless insurance companies and big businesses, he has devoted himself to representing the interests of injured people. He genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in providing each client with personal, and professional, service.
Since his return to the state, Mr. O’Sullivan has participated in six jury trials, two of which have resulted in verdicts in favor of his clients for more than 1.5 million dollars.
In his spare time, Hugh enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has a bouncy black lab and two cats. Mr. O’Sullivan is a movie buff and a sports junkie, who, despite his advanced age, continues to play basketball, softball, golf, and occasionally, corn-hole.
