PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY

Richard W. Kroeger

Richard W. Kroeger

Rick Kroeger was born and raised in a village of approximately 1,500 people in Michigan’s rugged Upper Peninsula.  It was there that he was inspired to become a lawyer by witnessing how one of the few lawyers in this town helped and respected local residents in need of legal assistance.  Rick made it his mission to follow suit and become a lawyer who would help others as his mentor did.

Rick attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan where he was honored by the University to be selected as the sole student Commencement Speaker for the entire graduating Class of 1988.  He then taught elementary school for one year, working with underprivileged, economically disadvantaged and multilingual immigrant students.  Following this experience, he attended the Northern Illinois University College of Law, graduating in 1992.

Rick returned home to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where he began working for his mentor, representing innocent people who were injured by the negligence of others.  Over the following years, he continued to practice law in progressively larger towns throughout the states of Michigan and Wisconsin.  During this time, Rick worked for a major insurance company.  It was there that he gained firsthand knowledge of the methods used by insurers to minimize or deny claims.  This is knowledge that Rick now uses to benefit his clients making claims against insurance companies.

In 2005, Rick moved to New York City where he found work with a major law firm that was involved in the claims and litigation that followed the terrorist destruction of the World Trade Center.  Rick and his firm were deeply involved in the claims of more than 10,000 people who were injured during the rescue and recovery efforts that followed the destruction of the World Trade Center.

In 2012, Rick moved to Denver, Colorado where he joined a well-known personal injury firm.  He continued to represent those injured through no fault of their own until 2018 when he temporarily moved to South America to become fluent in Spanish.  This added skill allows him to help even more people by overcoming the language barrier that often prevents worthy individuals from pursuing their legal rights.  Shortly after returning to Denver, Rick joined The Mintz Law Firm.

Over his many years in practice, Rick has successfully litigated many cases for his clients.  He has appeared in the State and Federal Courts of Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Delaware and Colorado.

Rick lives in Arvada, Colorado.  When not working, Rick can be found hiking, biking or otherwise enjoying all of the amazing outdoors activities that are available here in the great state of Colorado.  Rick is a firm believer in giving back to his community and focuses his volunteer efforts on supporting The Children’s Cancer Research Fund, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and the Ronald McDonald Charities.
