PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY

Robin E. Scully

Robin E. Scully

Robin grew up in Warrensburg, Missouri.  As a child, his favorite book was To Kill a Mockingbird.  His love of words and language drew him to the practice of law.  His desire to help people then drew him to personal injury work.  Robin practiced law in Kansas City for about ten years, working for a general practice firm.  In 2006 he moved to the Denver area and began working for the Hustead Law Firm, where he defended large insurance companies.  In 2010, Robin decided to take a different path - one where he would represent individuals, not faceless corporations.  At that point he joined the Mintz Law Firm.

Robin has experience resolving lawsuits through settlement, mediation, arbitration, and trial.  He has prosecuted jury trials in the courts of Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado, in both state and federal courts.  He has also handled a number of appeals, arguing one case all the way up to the Colorado Supreme Court, on an issue involving the proper interpretation and application of law that applies to personal injury actions.

Robin prides himself on being able to quickly determine the proper course for a case, whether it be quick and reasonable settlement, or extended litigation and trial.  His constant guiding principle is to work for the client’s best interests.  If those interests dictate battling the defendant through the trial courts and into the appeals courts, that is the course he will recommend and prosecute.

In his twelve years working in personal injury, Robin has recovered well over twenty million dollars for his clients.  He recently recovered $1,450,000 for his two clients who were in a catastrophic car accident.  He also recently recovered over $300,000 for his client who was in an accident caused by a commercial vehicle, and $300,000.00 for a client who was injured in a car accident caused by a reckless driver.  In 2021, Robin recovered over $300,000.00 for a client who was injured by a speeding vehicle.  In 2020, Robin recovered over $250,000 for a client who was injured in a low speed accident, but who required surgery as a result of it.  Prior to 2020, Robin recovered $600,000 for a client who suffered injuries from defective hip implants, $430,000.00 for a client injured by negligent construction workers, $350,000 for a client who was hit by a negligent bus driver, $260,000 for a boy who was burned in a hotel accident, $129,000 for a client who was injured while cycling, $125,000 for a client who was injured as a result of a business’s failure to clear snow from its parking lot, and $120,000 for a client who was the victim of a dog bite.  This is a small sample of Robin’s results - which speak for themselves.

Robin lives near the office, in Lakewood. He spends most of his time with his wife and two young boys. He enjoys mountain biking and rooting for the Missouri Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs. When he can find time, he plays music with his friends.
